Freesat in Costa Blanca
Freesat TV is available to expats in the Costa Blanca area of Spain.
Even with the recent introduction of new UK TV satellites reception of all UK TV channels is very good.
Reception of the main UK TV channels, like BBC and ITV, via satellite, using a Freesat set top box, will mean you have to have a satellite dish measuring a minimum of minimum 110x120cm.
For areas of the Costa Blanca North, a minimum 125x135cm satellite dish is required for reception of BBC and ITV via Freesat.
For some areas of the Costa Blanca South, a minimum 1.8m satellite dish may be required for reception of BBC and ITV via Freesat.
With the very good satellite signals in the Valencia and Alicante areas, UK TV by satellite via Freesat is still the best option for watching UK TV channels in that area.
The map on the link below shows a reception map and the size of satellite dishes for Spain that are able to receive the main UK TV channels.
For installation of Freesat Satellite TV systems in the Costa Blanca North (Valencia to Calpe areas) area, we recommend “The Sat and PC Guy“, one of the best satellite TV installers for UK TV and Freesat TV in the area.
